Purpose of the Job:

We are looking for someone special, who believes that no student should be held back by their SEND needs or their previous experience and who is passionate about maths and delivering the very best knowledge to our students. 

Main Tasks:

Part time only – 2 days per week

QTVI Preferred 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a highly experienced Maths Practitioner across Key stage 3, 4 and 5.
  • Have a proven track record of teaching A Level Mathematics.
  • Will have a good awareness of SEND.
  • Possess an unwavering commitment to promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning across the department and more widely.
  • Be keen to learn braille and maths braille and ensure that their lessons are fully accessible and engaging.
  • Be willing to share their excellent practice on a national level by networking with other professionals working in the VI sector and through supporting the Head of Department with outreach.
  • Have a passion for developing all aspects of Maths teaching and learning.
  • Be a committed team player.
  • Have the ability to engage and inspire students and build excellent relationships with students, their families and staff across the organisation.
  • Demonstrate excellence, both inside and outside the classroom.

To provide false information is an offence and could result in the application being rejected or summary dismissal if the application has been selected, and possible referral to the police.
